Viviann Lu, Installation view from “Fall Open Studios”, 2019, New York.
Viviann Lu’s work is a response to her environment and to political and social issues. Topics like environmental sustainability, war, racism, and mental health guide her research. The distortion of memories as they relate to mourning is a crucial key to her iconography.
