The references in Titus McBeath’s art are specifically linked to the industrial rural environment of his Midwestern roots. McBeath highlights these themes to depict the blurry line between worker and machine and to close the chasm between experience and memory. In the process he also references a larger, general narrative of manufacturing, consumer products, subversive architecture and the history of art making.
