Sandra Wu is drawn to luminous spaces that she cannot understand, such as, the unpredictable translucent light and shadow in certain architectural places. These semi-fictional spaces represent mystery and uncertainty; they disorient the viewer. That uncertainty inspires Wu to learn more about the world.
