Throughout the years, Chloe Gao has been conscious of melding her Eastern culture roots with Western culture to create a unique style. Early on she realized that she has a no-nonsense relationship with a paintbrush. As soon as she takes hold of the brush and touches it to canvas her ideas begin to flow. Emotions figure prominently in her work. She is excited about creating a world on a two-dimensional surface and about the uncertainty of what is going to appear on her canvas.
