‘Hands-on” is how Breanna Gartner describes her approach to creating art. She enjoys the painstaking process of working by hand and allowing the medium to dictate how fast or how slow she can work. She fashions her labor-intensive projects of embroidery and knitting. In an effort to become closer to her family and her heritage, Garther creates narrative knit patterns in a traditional Austrian style. Out of respect for her roots, she creates beautiful art that anyone, anywhere can enjoy.
