Biography
Jamillah James is a curator and writer based in Brooklyn. She is editor of the visual arts blog FRONTIERS, and contributor to the Studio Museum in Harlem’s magazine, Studio. In 2010-11, she was a Curatorial Fellow at the Queens Museum of Art (NYC), where she organized the critically acclaimed exhibition, NOT THE WAY YOU REMEMBERED (2011). She has curated projects in New York, Baltimore, and Chicago, with an upcoming commission for the online artist’s publication Triple Canopy and exhibitions at Stadium (NYC) and Nudashank (Baltimore) in Spring 2012.
