Printmaking at the school is an elective, open to students from all majors. There are four main classrooms in the printmaking facilities, Silkscreen 1, Silkscreen 2, Lithography/Letterpress and Etching/Woodcut. There is also a plate-making darkroom as well as a computer classroom.
The different areas of printmaking developed over 100’s of years, each with it’s own qualities and strengths. All the main processes of printmaking are all still in use by artists today and are constantly being rediscovered and updated to include new technologies.
