My drawings are the tangible results of introspection. They teach me about myself, help me explore the deeper anxieties that lead me to make certain decisions. For me, pattern-making is a way to get to these subconscious thoughts. The repetition is rhythmic, it creates a harmony in the surroundings. My hand makes the patterns as my mind wanders. It’s an obsession that won’t go away.
I believe every choice in an artwork has a deeper subconscious connection. It seems meaningless to write down the meaning of any artwork since all art is beyond human-made languages. It is its own form of communication or an open-ended riddle. It can be taken as an opportunity to leave the path of logical thinking.
