As a child I taught myself to use art to deal with trauma and mental health issues. I continue to employ art now as I unpack the boxes of pain that I have hoarded over the years. My oil paintings–full of fuzzy white space, glitter, and immature scribbles–convey the story of my neglect and my constant battle with memory.
