Juno Seo is an independent curator based in Seoul, South Korea. Director and curator of Seoul galleries O’NewWall Ejuheon and space xx respectively, he will discuss contemporary art activities in Asia. His focus is on the relation of the life of people and contemporary art. For his ‘Asia project’, which he began in 2009, he traveled extensively to Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and Japan to research each country’s art scene. He curates exhibitions about social issues like redevelopment related to gentrification, environment, war, and the role of the arts in Asia today.
